The Watermill is located on the B4524 overlooking the river Ewenny and has two large car parks, a large beer garden and children's play area.  This view is taken from just inside the car park after turning off the main road.  The entrance to the building is towards the rear.  As part of S A Brain & Co., a range of  famous real ales and varied menu is on offer.  This is a no smoking venue.    

MENU ITEMS INCLUDE:

Starters:

The soup kettle
Smoked haddock and spring onion fishcake
The Watermill prawn cocktail
Roasted field mushroom with red wine sauce

Main Meals:

Welsh cawl with Caerphilly cheese and crusty bread
10 oz chargrilled gammon and eggs
Thai green chicken curry with egg noodle bowl
The Watermill chargrilled chicken Caesar salad

Desserts:

Sticky toffee pudding
Chocolate & hazelnut meringue roulade
Bread & butter pudding
Sour cherry pie

Light Bites:

Welsh burger - prime burger topped with Welsh Rarebit
Grilled steak sandwich with tomato salsa
 

Dishes served on thick-cut tin loaf or crusty Ciabatta include:

Goats' cheese & caramelised onion relish
Tuna mayo & spring onion

Side orders, sauces and beverages available

The Watermill, along with another Brains pub, the Duke of Wellington in Cowbridge, won a prestigious Welsh Food Hygiene award in April, 2005 and was commended for its commitment to excellent food and hygiene standards.  In January, 2006 it was announced that The Watermill had been named the best wine pub in Wales in the Morning Advertiser Best Pubs Award
