In the 1970s to the beginning of the 21st century the Parish had thriving local community football teams. Sporting E.V. club
was formed in 1998 and competed at under 12, under 14 and under 16 level in the
Bridgend & District League. They had access to top coaches, their own
facilities at St. Brides Major Sports Pavilion with two top class pitches and training sessions were held regularly.
Although this club folded around 2002 by
2008 the Pavilion and playing fields were once again being used by local

We do not have details of any current football teams - if you belong to one that meets/plays at the Pavilion Football Field in St. Brides Major, please let us know. If you are interested in playing and there is no club for your age bracket, why not start one!? (and let us know all the details!)
